Northiam Level Crossing unfortunately requires complete replacement following accelerated deterioration due mainly to the excessive volume of water which runs off the highway at that point. This essential work will take place over the weekend 3/4/5th March. This will require a complete closure of the A28 at that location commencing 20.00 hrs on Friday 3rd to 24.00hrs Sunday the 5th.
Traffic Diversion routes will be displayed. Pedestrian access will continue to be available under supervision.
